Last fall, the Village of Lisle Transportation Advisory Commission conducted a contest to design a safe driving campaign sign. The winning slogan and graphics were submitted by Ashley Weizeorick and Alex Repsholdt, respectively.
The sign is designed to remind and encourage drivers to slow down in residential neighborhoods where children are walking, biking, rollerblading, etc.
Residents are encouraged to display the safety signs in their front yards, but not in the right-of-way. The signs, which are 18" x 24" may be purchased for $5, including the metal stand, and are available at both the Lisle Police Department and Lisle Vallage Hall.
