New Special Events Committee Seeks Volunteers

On March 3, 2014, the Lisle Village Board approved a policy establishing a Special Events Committee. The intent of this committee is to administer and evaluate grant applications for funding entertainment events for the community, primarily in Downtown Lisle.

At this time, Lisle Mayor Joe Broda is seeking volunteers to serve on the committee for two year terms. In creating the committee, it was the Board’s goal to include representation from the general public as well as from:
The Lisle Convention and Visitors Bureau
Chamber of Commerce
Community Service Organizations

The Mayor hopes to forward names of committee members to the Village Board for approval within the next several weeks.
