|
Posted Date: 6/18/2009
Lisle residents have an opportunity to help invent the future of the Chicago region. The City of Naperville and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) invite all interested parties to attend the GO TO 2040 Invent the Future Workshop on Wednesday, June 24. The workshop will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in Meeting Rooms A, B and C of the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St.
CMAP is leading the GO TO 2040 campaign to plan a prosperous future for the Chicago Metropolitan Region, which the agency estimates will add 2.8 million residents by 2040. To address this anticipated increase in population, the GO TO 2040 campaign will focus on critical topics, including land use, transportation, housing, jobs, natural resources, education and other quality-of-life issues in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry and Will Counties for the remainder of the century.
