2012 Final Branch Pickup Information
|
Posted Date: 8/21/2012
During the week of September 10, Public Works will begin the final round of complimentary branch pick up for single-family homes located in the Village's corporate limits.
The final 2012 branch pickup schedule follows:
Week of September 10 - Homes located north of the BNSF railroad tracks
Week of September 17 - Homes located between Maple Ave and the BNSF railroad tracks
Week of September 24 - Homes located south of Maple Avenue
This program is intended for residential branch trimming material. A tree trimming service should be used to take down and haul away whole trees. Please note that once Village crews pass a house during the scheduled week, they will not return.
Please follow these guidelines when preparing branch piles:
Place branch piles in the front parkway by 7 am on the Monday of the scheduled pickup week, but no earlier than the prior Friday.
Branches should be bundled, whenever possible, with twine or rope – no wire.
Bundles should not exceed 5’ in length and 50 pounds.
Stack single branches separate from the bundles in piles up to 8” in diameter and 6’ long.
Branch piles shall not be stacked higher than 2’ and should be spread out neatly along the parkway.
Material should be placed with "cut ends" facing the street. Do not block any ditches, swales, or sidewalks.
Only branch material generated from your property will be picked up.
Vines, root balls, thorny branches or plant material, or any miscellaneous landscape material (grass, leaves, railroad ties, timbers, etc.) will not be accepted.
Mulch is available for pick up at the corner of Front and Main Streets to residents living within the corporate limits.
