COMMUTER PARKING

Commuter parking map(PDF)

GENERAL INFORMATION

A parking permit is required to park in the commuter lots between the hours of 4:30 AM and 2:00 PM Monday through Friday, including parking spaces for the disabled. If you have a disability placard or plates, please call (630) 271-4100 for information regarding accessible parking.

Parking permits are not required after 2:00 PM Monday through Friday, all day Saturday, Sunday and the following holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and day after, December 24th and 25th.

Overnight parking is not allowed other than free weekend parking (from 2:00 PM Friday through 2:00 AM Monday) in specific signed spaces in Lot B. These weekend spaces in Lot B are located in the row of angled parking closest to the tracks.

All vehicles must be parked head-in so that the headlights face the curb, wheel block, rope, or painted closed end of the parking space, and the taillights face the open aisle.

The parking meters on Front Street are not available until 9:00 AM. Prior to 9:00 AM, this area is to be used as a drop off site for Metra passengers; drivers are to pull up to the curb and stay only long enough for passengers to disembark. Parking begins at 9:00 AM, and the meters must be paid. The parking meters on Burlington Avenue are available beginning at 4:30 AM. Meters can be paid for up to 18 hours, however vehicles must be off the street by midnight. The cost is 25 cents per hour.

Drivers are not allowed to drive into any commuter lot to drop off or pick up passengers. Blocking parking spaces or impeding the flow of permitted vehicles in order to drop off or pick up passengers is prohibited and will result in a $25 citation. Blocking a handicap accessible space will result in a $350 citation. Please pull up to the curb on Front Street, Spencer, Center or Burlington Avenues and stay only long enough for passengers to disembark. You may also pull into a visitor's parking space in the Village Hall parking lot. If dropping off or picking up after 2:00 PM, you may drive into the lots and pull into a parking space. Please call (630) 271-4100 for more information.

Quarterly Commuter Parking Permits

There is a four to six year waiting list to obtain a quarterly commuter parking permit. Nonresidents must pay a $15 nonrefundable fee to be placed on the list.  There is no fee for Village of Lisle residents, but a copy of a current driver's license must be submitted to prove residency.

To put your name on the waiting list, please click on the appropriate link below to print the application form.  Complete the form and submit it along with either payment or a copy of your driver's license to the Village of Lisle at the address on the form.  Payments may also be made online through epay. If paying online, please email the completed application to BusinessOfficeDept@VillageofLisle.org, or fax it to (630)271-4104.  Call (630) 271-4100 if you have any questions, or if you have a disability placard or plate and need accessible parking.

Village of Lisle Daily Parking

IMPORTANT: Lot F will be closed to pay-by-day commuters every Friday beginning May 2, 2014 through October 31, 2014.

PLEASE NOTE: PERSONS WITH DISABILITY PLATES OR PLACARDS ARE ASKED TO CALL (630)271-4100 FOR INFORMATION REGARDING ACCESSIBLE PARKING.

Lots F and V: Lots F and V are pay-by-day CASH lots located north of Burlington Avenue and west of the Village Hall. Please see the commuter map for exact locations. Each lot has a payment drop box near the entrance. If parking in either of these lots anytime between 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM Monday through Friday there is a $3 fee due. The $3 fee must be sealed in an envelope and deposited in the payment drop box within five minutes of parking. There are envelopes on the side of each drop box, but any envelope may be used as long as the license plate number and date are clearly written on the envelope. There is no permit or payment stub to be displayed in the vehicle. Those who have not paid the $3 fee, or have failed to clearly write their plate number and date on the envelope will be subject to a $50 ticket. This parking fee is not pro-rated. If entering the lot at 1:00 PM, the fee remains $3. Payments of less than $3 will result in a citation. Overpayments will not be credited toward future parking needs. If cones or barricades have been placed to block certain parking spaces, do not move the cones or barricades in order to park.

Lot E (the trackside lot): In an effort to ensure adequate space for our regular quarterly permit holders and also accommodate as many other people as possible, the following policy will be followed when selling daily parking permits for Lot E:

Daily parking permits will be sold on a first come, first served basis for open spaces in Lot E beginning at 7:55 AM on the day of parking. Parking in Lot E may not take place until the daily permit has been purchased and is properly displayed in the vehicle. The cost is $3. Availability of daily parking in this lot is not guaranteed. Permits may not be purchased in advance.

Refunds for daily parking permits will be issued if the permit is returned to the Business Office within 30 minutes of purchase.

INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF LISLE RESIDENTS ONLY:

Based on availability, daily parking permits for Village Hall Lot C may be sold to incorporated Village of Lisle residents one business day in advance of parking.

Village Hall Lot C daily parking permits are not available for everyday commuting. No one will be issued more than two Lot C permits in any one week, and no more than fifteen per calendar quarter.

Proof of Village of Lisle residency is required to purchase permits for Lot C.
