Please note that the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority (ISTHA) does not supply tollway traffic information to the public
LISLE COMMUTER TRAIN STATION

Over 2,500 commuters board Metra trains at the Lisle Train Station.
Connecting Lisle with downtown Chicago are fast, reliable Metra trains, provided by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad. Metra is the commuter rail service arm of the Regional Transit Authority (RTA), an agency responsible for public transportation throughout the entire Chicagoland region.
Metra tickets can be purchased in the downtown Lisle Train Station, 1000 Front Street (Phone: 630-968-3916). The station is open to the public weekdays 5:45am-1:30pm. When an agent is not on duty, tickets can be purchased on the train. For added convenience, the Lisle Train Station offers shelter on either side of the track and two attractive pedestrian tunnels — open 24 hours a day.
The commuter rail system stretches from Wisconsin to Indiana and encompasses the counties of DuPage, Cook, Lake, Kane, Will and McHenry. With over 230 stations, Metra can offer transportation to select suburbs or within walking distance of Chicago museums, zoos, concerts, shopping areas, sports centers, restaurants, and learning institutions. Of particular interest to Lisle commuters, Metra travels to Chicago’s Union Station in 37 minutes via express trains and one hour via local trains. Connections to long-distance Amtrak trains can also be made at Union Station or in the neighboring community of Naperville.
Commuters can purchase quarterly parking permits from the Village of Lisle or ride one of the many Pace buses that serve the Lisle Train Station. Extensive reverse commuter service is also available with bus stops at many Lisle businesses. To plan a trip using public transportation (Pace buses, Metra commuter trains, Chicago Transit Authority rail/buses, and more), visit the RTA Travel Information Center or call their 24-hour phone line at 312-836-7000.
Metra offers a variety of ticket types — from unlimited monthly ride fares to special weekend passes. For detailed information about ticket options, schedules and a system map, visit Metra on the web or contact Metra Passenger Services at 312-322-6777.
