The Board of Fire and Police Commission consists of three members, each of whom serve a term of three years. The Commissioners are responsible for the appointment of all officers and are accountable for the sergeant promotional exam process. In addition, the Chief of Police coordinates with the Commissioners on any involvement in disciplinary action invoked on a patrol officer.
