BUSINESS REGISTRATION
On April 5, 2010, the Village of Lisle Board of Trustees passed Ordinance No. 2010-4310, which requires that all businesses with the Village be registered. This does not apply to home-based businesses. Consequently, businesses must register prior to commencing operations within the Village.
Businesses must register annually, including those that have a current Village of Lisle business, liquor or tobacco license. However, the fee is waived for businesses that have paid for a current Village license other than vending machine licenses. Penalties will apply to any and all businesses that do not submit the completed form prior to July 1st.
Certain organizations are exempt from this registration requirement, including educational, governmental, religious and political organizations. However, these organizations are highly encouraged to submit the registration form with at least emergency contact and alarm information filled out. Regardless, all security alarms are required to be registered with the Police Department and submitting the enclosed registration form satisfies this requirement. Please note that the fee is waived for exempt organizations.
Please submit the completed registration form and fee to the Village of Lisle Business Office, 925 Burlington Avenue, Lisle, IL 60532. Once your registration application has been processed, a certificate will be mailed which must be displayed on the registered premises.

As a non-home rule community, the Village of Lisle is limited by the State of Illinois as to the types of businesses it may license. Please call the Business Office at (630) 271-4100 to determine if your business would require a license.
Depending on the type of business, different applications other than those shown below may be required.
Please note that if you are purchasing an existing business, the seller’s license is not transferable. You must apply for and obtain your own license prior to taking over the business.
