RAFFLE LICENSES
A raffle license is required for all raffles conducted within the Village of Lisle. The raffle license fee is $10.
Raffle licenses will only be issued to bona fide religious, charitable, labor, fraternal, educational or veterans' organizations that operate without profit to their members and which have been in existence continuously for a period of five years immediately before applying for such license.
The entire net proceeds of any raffle must be exclusively devoted to the lawful purposes of the organization permitted to conduct the raffle. No one may receive any profit for participating in the management or operation of the raffle. No one under the age of 18 years may participate in the conduct of raffles or chances.
The aggregate retail value of all prizes awarded in a single raffle should not exceed $250,000. The maximum price that may be charged for each raffle chance should not exceed $200. The maximum number of days during which chances may be issued or sold shall not exceed 6 months.

SOLICITATION
Anyone who wishes to solicit within the corporate limits of the Village of Lisle must obtain a solicitor’s permit (PDF)*. Each adult solicitor is required to wear a badge issued by the Village. This badge shows the permit number, and the time period in which they may solicit. Solicitors under 18 must carry an approval letter issued by the Business Office.
The Village of Lisle Business Office has received many complaints on solicitors within the corporate limits of the Village of Lisle. With this in mind, we have “No Solicitors Invited” card’s, available at the Village Hall free-of-charge, which may be displayed upon or near the main entrance door to your residence.
If a “No Solicitors Invited” notice is displayed, the solicitor must immediately leave the premises. They are not allowed to knock on the door or ring the doorbell. Any solicitor who has gained entrance to any residence, whether invited or not, shall immediately and peacefully depart from the premises when requested to do so.
No one shall engage in commercial solicitation prior to 9:00 AM or after 8:00 PM of any day.
If you have complaints, you may call the Business Office at (630)271-4100. The complaints will be recorded and placed on file for reference on future applications. The best way to report violations is to IMMEDIATELY dial 911, let them know your location and that a solicitor is in the vicinity and is in violation of the Village Code. By reporting the violation immediately, an officer can be there when the solicitor is in the area. To call after they have left the area, or the next day, does not allow an officer to confront the solicitor in person.
TEMPORARY HANDICAP PERMIT
An application for a Temporary Handicap Permit may be obtained at the Business Office. In order to receive your permit, the application must be returned with Part 1 (applicant) and Part 2 (physician) completed. We can then issue you a Temporary Permit valid for up to 90 days. For further information, please call the Business Office at (630) 271-4100.
PARADES AND EVENTS
Parades and Events permits are managed by the Village of Lisle Police Department.
BLOCK PARTIES
The Village is supportive of block parties, neighborhood festivals and temporary street closings for community functions. Please review, complete and return the Block Party/Event Street Closure Application.
