COVID-19 UpdatesThe COVID-19 Outdoor Eating and Drinking Relief Program was created to support Lisle restaurants and bars. In keeping with Phase 3 of the State’s Restore Illinois Plan and effective May 29, 2020, outdoor service at restaurants and bars is permitted with certain restrictions. The program is the result of the Village’s efforts to support these local businesses by providing additional outdoor space that will allow for the required distancing between customers and employees. The Development Services Department is committed to abiding by the CDC recommendations to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus. To safeguard the health of the public and our employees, and to ensure the high standard of service delivered to the public is not interrupted, the Development Services Department has implemented new operating policies and procedures, which are outlined in the following documents:

The Development Services Department is responsible for coordinating, reviewing, and inspecting development projects, as well as administering the Village's codes and ordinances related to building, zoning, stormwater, and property maintenance.
The department provides direct staff support to several advisory boards and commissions, including the:
- Bicycle and Pedestrian Task Force
- Building Code Board of Appeals
- Planning and Zoning Commission
- Economic Development Commission
- Flood Information Committee
The Development Services Department administers and enforces the Village's building, zoning, stormwater, and property maintenance regulations. The Development Services Department also administers the Village's Elevator Inspection Program.
The Development Services Department consists of 5 full-time employees and 2 part-time employees.
