Public Works

Responsibilities
The Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining village-owned streets, sidewalks, bridges, parkway trees, stormwater systems, sanitary sewers, the Lisle Cemetery, water supply and more. The department administers several ongoing programs for the benefit of Lisle residents including the popular free Leaf and Branch Pickup Programs.
The Public Works Department is organized into four main divisions:

Operations: Responsible for the Village's infrastructure, including streets, water supply, sanitary and storm sewer systems, street lights, traffic signals, signs, tree planting, snow/ice removal, brush and leaf pickup.

Engineering:  Responsible for planning and managing capital improvement projects including street rehabilitation, water main replacements, sewer maintenance and storm water management.

Fleet Services:  Responsible for the maintenance, repair and replacement of the Village's vehicles and other equipment including snow plows, salt spreaders, lawn movers and specialty equipment. 

Facilities Services:  Responsible for maintaining all Village buildings, including Village Hall, Public Works, Police Department, Train Station and storage structures. 

Location

Public Works is located in several buildings in the College West Business Park.
