It is a pleasure to welcome you to Lisle, "The Arboretum Village." Lisle is home to the internationally acclaimed Morton Arboretum, 1,700 acres of woodlands, wetlands, prairies, lakes, and meadows which offer a wonderful escape to nature.

In Lisle, nature serves as a backdrop to many exciting changes that are occurring throughout the community. Downtown Lisle has been transformed into a beautiful nature-themed shopping and dining district. PrairieWalk Pond, an award winning 4.5 acre recreational area, serves as a stunning gateway into the downtown and reflects the Village's sustainable focus.

I am extremely pleased that Marquette Companies began construction on the Old Village Hall Site in February 2016. This redevelopment will be Lisle's newest multi-residential community and is expected to be the catalyst for additional redevelopment projects in our beautiful downtown. When completed in 2017, this 5-story mid-rise will offer 201 luxury residences, a resort style infinity pool with sundeck and cabanas; outdoor fire tables and grilling station; a resident clubhouse; Tech Center; Conference Room; Fitness Center, 24-hour Coffee CafĂ©, dog park and heated indoor parking.  Due to the recession, this site has had a few false starts, but we are on our way and I couldn't be happier.

The Village offers many other advantages. It is in a highly accessible location in the heart of a major transportation network. Traveling by car, train, bus or plane is convenient and hassle-free.

Businesses in Lisle's I-88 Corporate Corridor appreciate the ease of commute, both for employees and visitors. They also value the Village's strategic Midwestern location as they reach out to a global marketplace. These businesses include the corporate headquarters of Navistar, SunCoke, and Leeco Steel. They join a thriving community of more than 1,000 businesses which already call Lisle home. The corridor is also the home of the 100,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art DuPage Medical Group's Cancer and Medical Treatment Facility and Universal Technical Institute's 187,000 square-foot, state-of-the-industry automotive training facility.
Lisle is also great place to live and raise a family. New housing developments provide man options to satisfy resident needs. Arbor Trails is a 20-acre residential development of 162 homes ranging between 2,200 to 3,900 square-feet with generous amenities. Avant at the Arboretum welcomes new tenants into an amenity-rich building situated on 8 acres strategically located along the corporate corridor. And Arbor Place, a new, quality senior development along the Ogden Avenue Corridor, offers new living options for seniors on a fixed income.
Each year, Lisle attracts more than a million visitors traveling to the community for business or pleasure. Lisle's excellent lodging, dining, and recreational options satisfy, resulting in many return visits over the years. In Lisle, cookie cutter is not the norm - in fact, many unique, independently owned and operated shops and restaurants offer truly refreshingly different dining and shopping experiences.
I have been serving the Lisle community for more than 2 decades; 15 years as Trustee, and in May of 2013, I began my 4th term as Mayor. I truly love this community and the people that live, work, and visit Lisle and it is an honor to serve them.

The Arboretum Village is truly a place for all seasons and I invite you to learn more about this wonderful community by exploring this website and learning why I am proud to call Lisle home.
