Join your friends and neighbors, and even Santa Claus, for several memorable holiday events on December 7 & 8, 2019 in Downtown Lisle! The glow from thousands of luminarias, twinkling holiday tree lights, a Main Street businesses event, and storefront decorations among other events and attractions will transform downtown Lisle into a truly magical place. This striking setting is the perfect backdrop for a weekend full of FREE, fun holiday activities.

Additional Event Activities

  • Pre-K through 5th Grade Coloring Contest.  Coloring Contest Entry
    Entry forms will be delivered to local schools the week of November 11th.  Winners will receive a prize and ride in the Santa Parade in the Trolley. 
  • Enjoy items purchased from food truck vendors and a show by the Service Sanitation Jingle Johns, a unique holiday lighted loo experience in Commuter Parking Lot B.    
  • Enjoy delicious cookies, hot chocolate, festive holiday music and live performances in the Village Hall Board Room
  • Join Mayor Pecak for the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, held at 6 p.m. at the community holiday tree on the grounds of Village Hall
  • Take a trolley ride through the downtown to view thousands of luminarias lining the streets and PrairieWalk Pond
  • Visit your favorite Downtown Lisle shops to find unique gifts, special offers, treats and more at the Merry on Main Holiday Walk.

Lisle Santa Train

On Sunday, December 8, enjoy a round trip from the Lisle Train Station to the North Pole (Chicago).  Join Santa, Mrs. Claus, Scrooge, Cinderella, Fiona, Elsa and other costumed characters, including the engineer and conductor. Families sing Christmas carols, receive candy canes and a bell from Santa's reindeer harness. And of course, each child gets to visit with Santa.
Tickets are $20, non-refundable and must be purchased in advance.

Once Upon a Christmas

"Once Upon a Christmas" an annual event held at the Museums of Station Park campus, features children's crafts, brick oven baking, blacksmithing and much, much more!
