Police
The Lisle Police Department is located in an award winning state of the art facility at Route 53 and Short Street. Personnel perform the full range of Police duties and provide the following services:
- Bike Patrols

- Safety Presentations (internet, campus, workplace, etc.)

- Special Events Security
Tier I Accredited
There are 811 police agencies in Illinois, and the Lisle Police Department is 1 of the 48 Police Departments in the state that have met the required standards to be accredited through the Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program. The accreditation is evidence and recognition of the highest level of professional police service provision to the community by the leadership and personnel of the Lisle Police Department. It also is a positive reflection of the commitment of the political leadership of the Lisle Community to increase the quality of life in the community by supporting policing services.
The Lisle Police Department utilizes the latest technology in detection, radio, computer and photographic equipment. Squad cars are equipped with video cameras and dual directional radar units to document evidence. Ongoing training ensures personnel provide a high quality of service to the community.

The Lisle Woodridge Fire Protection District protects the Village of Lisle, most of the Village of Woodridge and unincorporated DuPage County areas outside village boundaries. The District provides fire and paramedic services and has specialized teams that respond to technical rescues, hazardous materials and underwater rescue and recovery calls. It also provides the following services:
- Education (CPR, Crisis Response, Safety, Industrial)
- Fire Prevention
- Station Tours
Class One Rating
The Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District is 1 of only 42 Fire Departments nationwide that hold the ISO “Class One” Rating. This is the insurance industry’s highest rating for a Fire Department and reflects the quality of personnel, equipment, station locations, water supply and communications capability.
