About the Cemetary

The Lisle Cemetery is one of the oldest registered cemeteries in DuPage County and one of the oldest cemeteries in the State of Illinois. Five of the first eleven settlers to stake property claims in the area during the 1830’s are buried in this quaint, rustic cemetery. They include: Luther Hatch, settled 1832 James Crombie Hatch, settled 1832 A. B. Chatfield, settled 1834 John Graves, settled 1835 George Willard, settled 1835

Lots 

Cemetery lots are currently available, however, all lots that are still available are at the front of the cemetery. The cost of each lot is $1,000, which includes perpetual care. Only one interment per lot is permitted. 

Interment Fees

Full Burial

Monday through Friday (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) - $1,150 

Saturday (9:00 a.m. until noon) - $1,200 

Saturday (12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.) - $1,250 

Cremation Burial 

Monday through Friday (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.) - $500 

Saturday (9:00 a.m. until noon) - $550 

Saturday (12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.) - $600

Sundays and Holidays, winter interments, oversized vaults and after hours may require additional charges.  

Grave Markers

At-grade and above-grade grave markers are allowed in the cemetery. A Village permit is required before a grave marker can be installed. The permit costs are $75 for an at-grade marker (flush with the ground) and $225 for an above-grade marker (above ground).
