San Francisco based consumer financial research group NerdWallet analyzed 285 Illinois towns with populations of 5,000 or more. Overall scores were calculated for each town based on the business climate and economic health using data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Lisle has more than 22, 000 residents and 2,600 businesses. Living in “The Arboretum Village” is more reasonable than many other places analyzed, with a median monthly housing cost of $1,407. The College of DuPage Center for Entrepreneurship is located in Lisle and offers training for businesses in marketing, government contracting, global expansion and more.
