Minimum Requirements

The following are the minimum hiring requirements to become a Village of Lisle Police Officer:

Non-refundable application fee.
United States Citizenship.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Valid driver's license.
At least 21 years of age by the application closing date and under 35 years of age as of the posting of the initial eligibility list unless otherwise provided by 65 ILCS 5/10-2.1-6.
Valid Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report (POWER) issued by the written examination date. POWER cards are considered valid if issued within one year prior to the written examination date. POWER tests may be take at one of the following testing agencies: NIPSTA, Joliet Junior College or Triton College.
No felony conviction.
Binocular vision correctable to 20/20.
Residence within the State of Illinois and 50 miles of the Village of Lisle.
