Public Safety Academy

In response to guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and the Illinois Department of Public Health regarding strategies to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the Lisle Police Department has postponed the Lisle Public Safety Academy.

The Lisle Police Department and the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District will be conducting a Public Safety Academy beginning on April 15, 2020. This is a unique opportunity for Lisle residents to learn about the entities that protect the Village of Lisle (Police, Fire and Emergency Management Agency).

Highlights of the 10-Week Course:

  • Meet 5 weeks at the Lisle Police Department and 5 weeks at the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District.
  • Classes start at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m.
  • Classes run from Wednesday, April 15, 2020 through Wednesday, June 24, 2020 (no class the week of May 13 in-lieu of the annual Lisle Police Department Open House)
  • Receive an inside look at Police Department and Fire District operations through classroom and hands-on learning.
