It consists of classes, discussions and hands-on demonstrations held each Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to approximately 8:30 p.m. for 10 weeks. Classes are limited to 20 participants who must live in Lisle and are at least 18 years old.
Topics that will be covered include:
• Police Department Overview
• Evidence and Crime Scene Processing
• Investigations and Crime Analysis
• DUI and Traffic Enforcement
• Range & Firearms Training
• Fire Department Overview
• Fire Extinguisher Training
• Tour of the Village Emergency Operations Center, and more.
It is hoped that the graduates will become partners with the Lisle Police Department and Lisle-Woodridge Fire District by taking their knowledge back to their neighborhoods, where they can use it to help keep Lisle a safe and welcoming community.
