Starting with the June 2019 billing period, the Village’s water rate has increased by 3 cents to $6.63 per 1,000 gallons. The increase is the result of increases in the Village’s cost to purchase the water for distribution from the DuPage Water Commission. (Commission increases are in turn due to increases from the City of Chicago). New rates will be reflected on commercial water account bills received in July and residential account bills received in August. For the average household consuming 8,000 gallons of water a month, this increase will represent a $0.48 increase on the bi-monthly bill.
