The weekly curbside collection of loose leaves from all single-family homes within the Village of Lisle corporate limits started October 21 runs through the week of November 18, weather permitting.
To take advantage of this convenient service, leaves need to be raked as close to the street as possible by 7:00 a.m. Monday morning for each week of the program. Leaves should not be bagged, and no grass or landscaping debris will be accepted. Residents are encouraged to rake their leaves to the street as early as possible during the program in order to avoid the potential for weather conditions that would require it to conclude prior to the week of November 18, 2019.
Public Works crews will collect the leaves once a week. If leaves have not been raked into the front parkway when a crew passes by, the pick-up will not take place until the following week. During the final week of collection, the crew will not return to streets where collection has been completed. To ensure that crews can collect the leaves, do not park cars on the street in front of leaves.
Please note that inclement weather conditions may require that the program to conclude before the week of November 18. Leaves remaining after the end of the program can be placed in yard waste bags with a sticker affixed or carts for collection by Lakeshore Recycling Systems. Lakeshore will collect yard waste through December 11, 2019.
