[ARCHIVED] Lisle Police Department Announces Recent Promotions


The Village of Lisle is pleased to announce two recent promotions that have occurred within the Lisle Police Department. Last week, Sergeant Mark Lutz took the Oath of Office as Deputy Chief of Operations and Officer Dan Taylor took the Oath of Office as Sergeant.

Deputy Chief Lutz was previously the Detective Sergeant in charge of the Lisle PD Investigations Unit. He is a 28-year veteran of the Lisle Police Department and has extensive experience in police and tactical operations. He has been a member of the senior command staff for 18 years, and has helped lead several high profile investigations in recent months. His promotion to the Deputy Chief position allows him to use his knowledge and experience in the decision making processes within the Lisle PD.

Sergeant Taylor has been a police officer for 14 years, and brings excellent experience to the department. Dan is a valued member of the community, a well-known team player, and brings advanced technological knowledge to the position. He is a welcomed addition to the Lisle Police Department command staff and will be assigned as a Night Shift Sergeant.

The position of Detective Sergeant has been filled by current Patrol Sergeant, Jim Eccardt as a result of these promotions. Sergeant Eccardt has worked within the Investigations Unit for many years and brings exceptional knowledge to help continue the long tradition of excellent detective work within the department. The Village of Lisle looks forward to the expertise and experience that each of these individuals bring to the LPD and the citizens of Lisle.
