The COVID-19 pandemic has caused economic hardships throughout the state and the nation. The Village would like to remind residents that a variety of resources are available for those experiencing financial difficulties. The State of Illinois has provided information on financial support, such as unemployment insurance, utility relief, Medicaid waivers and taxpayer information on the State of Illinois Coronavirus Response site.
The Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) also offers several programs for those in need of assistance such as Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Benefits (SNAP), Public Housing, Unemployment Benefits, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), Medicaid and Supplemental Social Security. For information on these and other programs please visit IDHS’s website. Information on additional food and financial assistance can be obtained from the DuPage County Department of Community Services at (630) 407-6500 for information on other government and social service programs.

The Village has also established a COVID-19 Outdoor Eating and Drinking Relief Program in accordance with the Governor’s Restore Illinois Plan.
