[ARCHIVED] Independence Day Convoy – Saturday, July 4, 2020

The Village of Lisle has partnered with Lisle-Woodridge Fire District, Lisle Park District, Lisle Library District, Lisle School District 202 and the Lisle VFW Ross Bishop Post 5696 to provide a fun, socially-distanced Independence Day activity in light of current public health safety guidelines. Though traditional 4th of July activities are unable to occur, Lisle’s Independence Day vehicle convey is one way to celebrate the nation’s independence as it makes its way through the Village on Saturday, July 4th, 2020.

All participants will remain in their vehicles throughout the duration of the event.

The convoy will kick off at 10:00 a.m. at Kennedy Junior High School and make its way north through the Village, finishing along Warrenville Road near the Sheraton Hotel. A route map is available here. Individuals are encouraged to show their support by selecting a safe viewing location and adhering to social distancing and other safety guidelines. There will be no distribution of candy, flags or other items during the convoy.  Spectators are encouraged to take a walk to the route or find a public parking lot along the route to park vehicles for viewing.  Please remember to exercise all due precaution including standing at least 6 feet apart from one another and wearing face masks as needed.
