Fall Branch Pick Up Program Information

The Village of Lisle’s Branch Pick Up Program is available to all single-family homes within Lisle’s corporate limits. The program provides for the collection and disposal of branches that have been properly prepared for pick up. Collection regions rotate every season, and are scheduled according to three regions (defined below).FallBranch

This program is intended for bundled branches that have been trimmed by homeowners or are the result of damage by weather. Whole trees or shrubs are not accepted and will not be collected. To prepare branches for pick up, please follow these guidelines:

  • Bundles must be tied with natural twine or rope. Nylon, plastic or metal twines will not be accepted or collected.
  • Bundles shall not exceed 3 feet tall x 3 feet wide x 5 feet long and shall not exceed 50 pounds.
  • Place bundles in a line as close to the street as possible. The cut ends of the bundles shall be facing the street.
  • Large diameter branches (6” to 8” in diameter) no longer than 5 feet may be placed individually at the curb.

Bundles or branches not properly prepared for pick up will be left uncollected along with a red tag indicating the reason why collection did not occur. All bundled branch piles need to be placed in the parkway by 7:00 am on the Monday of your scheduled collection week. Please note that crews will not go back down a street for branches that are placed out late. General program guidelines to preparing bundles for pick and a live collection map can be viewed on the Village’s branch pick up webpage.

Branch pick-up may take longer than expected because of the operational impacts of COVID-19. Crews will make every effort to work quickly and pick up all branches in a timely manner. Delays, or operational updates, will be communicated via the Village’s website and on social media. Please contact the Village of Lisle’s Public Works Department at (630) 271-4180 for further information.
