Award Honors "Spirit of Full Disclosure" of Financial Information to the Public

For the 12th year in a row, the Finance Department has received a “Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting” from the Government Finance Officers Association of U. S. and Canada. The award recognizes the Village’s 2014 CAFR (Comprehensive Annual Financial Report), which demonstrates a “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate the Village’s financial condition to the public in an engaging format. Avoid Becoming a Victim of the Utility Scam

Scammers either call, email or come to a residence pretending to be a utility representative. They demand immediate payment for an overdue bill by getting your credit card number or a pre-paid debit card or they say you will face immediate shut off of services. Utility companies do not operate this way. Learn more about this scam and what you can do if you encounter it by clicking here

Lights of Lisle Festival This Weekend

The Lights of Lisle Festival, scheduled for December 5 and 6, is one of Lisle’s most beautiful events. Help Keep a Child Warm This Winter

The Lisle Convention & Visitors Bureau and Lisle School District 202 are collecting all sizes of new or gently used children’s winter coats, hats, mittens, gloves and scarves for Lisle students in need. Bring your items to the Lisle Village Hall Lobby, 925 Burlington Avenue, weekdays, between 8 AM – 5 PM through December 30 and thank you!

What Happened?

During the recent Thanksgiving "Click It or Ticket" campaign, Lisle Police helped keep you safe by issuing: 47 seat belt citations, 34 cell phone citations, 25 speeding citations, 2 drug arrests, 9 uninsured motorist citations and 10 other violation citations. This campaign was funded by federal traffic safety funds made available through the Illinois Department of Transportation and is part of the nationwide "Click It or Ticket" and "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaigns.

Do 1 Thing!

Emergencies can happen any time, any place. Many public places have a first aid kit, oxygen, or an AED (automated external defibrillator) to treat people. These items can only save lives if someone knows how to use them. Actions you take in the first few minutes after an injury or other medical incident may save someone’s life.
