Corinna Cole Selected as
LEDP Executive Director
The Lisle Economic Development Partnership (LEDP) is pleased to announce that Corinna Cole has been selected to serve as the organization’s Executive Director. She will join the LEDP on May 3, 2021.
Ms. Cole has an impressive economic development background with an accomplished record of managing both large and small scale public / private projects and programs. She will be the first permanent Executive Director to hold the position since LEDP’s formation, and her experience and diverse skillset makes her uniquely qualified to advance the organization’s mission to promote business retention and attraction activities.
The selection of Ms. Cole was facilitated through a national recruitment process led by executive recruitment firm GovHR USA. The competitive search yielded approximately 80 applicants from throughout the country.
For four years, Ms. Cole served as the Economic Development Director with the Village of Oswego, Illinois. There, Ms. Cole led a wide-array of economic development efforts, including recruitment of both national and small businesses and the creation of a small business technical assistance program. She also negotiated redevelopment and incentive agreements to bring over $70 million in property investment into downtown Oswego.
Ms. Cole has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Knox College and a Certificate in Real Estate Finance and Investment from NYU. She attended the Oklahoma University Economic Development Institute and has been a Board Member with the Aurora Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. “I believe I bring a great breath and depth of relevant experience to this role,” she stated. “I’m looking forward to collaborating with the Lisle business community, the Village of Lisle, and other regional economic development stakeholders to ensure the Village continues to thrive. I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this new and innovative organization, and I’m excited to get started.”
Prior to Oswego, Ms. Cole worked ten years with New York City Economic Development Corporation, as Senior Vice President, Vice President, and several project manager positions. “Corinna is an exceptional talent,” said Heath Greenfield, Chair of the LEDP Executive Board. “Her approach to relationship building and her ability to collaboratively work with an array of stakeholders to implement successful economic development projects makes Corinna an ideal fit for our organization. She has the right experience to lead the LEDP forward, and we’re thrilled to welcome her.”
