Businesses to Invest in Lisle
At a Village Board meeting held on June 7, 2021, the Mayor and Board of Trustees approved entitlement requests made by three businesses seeking to invest and conduct business in Lisle. The approvals demonstrate the Village’s continued commitment to supporting the business community and its partnership in assisting businesses with their needs. The Village continues its support for the business community, particularly as the community emerges from the impacts of the pandemic. The businesses receiving during the Village Board meeting include:
Eyelash Extension Studio – 4736 Main Street, Suite 5
A special use permit and a variance to reduce the number of required off-street parking spaces was approved to accommodate the eyelash extension studio which is proposed for 4736 Main Street, Suite 5. The building the studio will be located within is located along Main Street and does not have off-street parking spaces.
Schmaltz Delicatessen – 3011 Ogden Avenue
The Village Board considered and approved several recent requests made by NextStep Property Group LLC for a flagship Schmaltz delicatessen and bakery proposed for 3011 Ogden Avenue. Requests have included a right-of-way encroachment license as well as financial assistance through the Village's restaurant and retail business build-out grant programs. In furthering its support of this effort and to prepare for the buildout and operation of the site, a special use permit for a drive-through facility, reduction to the required 5 foot side yard setback for the extension of the existing patio, and variances related to existing onsite landscaping deficiencies were approved during the meeting.
The approvals will enable the repurposing of this vacated site and building, and represents yet another reinvestment in the Ogden Avenue corridor in Lisle, joining West Side Tractor Sales Co., Tesla, and others who have recently reinvested along this commercial corridor.
Bucky’s/O’Reilly’s – 1909 & 1917 Ogden Avenue
Buchanan Energy(S), LLC / O’Reilly Auto Enterprises, LLC, was approved for requests associated with a proposed motor vehicle fueling station, convenience store, car wash, and retail vehicle parts and accessories store for the property located at 1909 and 1917 Ogden Avenue.
