DuPage River Feasibility Study Presentation

Lisle residents are invited to attend a US Army Corps of Engineers and DuPage County Stormwater Management presentation to learn more about this study and receive a status update.The study will investigate overbank flooding along the DuPage River and its major tributaries. It will also focus on identifying possible structural and non-structural alternatives to reduce future flood risks in the area. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 9, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Village Hall (925 Burlington Avenue).

Lisle Public Works Department Open House 

Celebrate National Public Works Week by attending the Village of Lisle Public Works Open House - the same night as the Police Department Open House, just minutes away.  Meet Public Works staff, get your questions answered about such topics as snow/ice removal, the emerald ash borer, road construction and more, tour the facilities, learn about and get up close to the heavy equipment used in Lisle, enjoy raffles and give-a-ways. Thursday, May 19, from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Public Works Facility, 4905 Yackley Avenue, Lisle.

Do you know a senior who drives? They may be interested in the FREE! Senior Car Care Safety Clinic - a comprehensive auto safety inspection of fluids, belts, hoses, tires, lights, wipers and more. French Market Opens May 7 

Make plans for a terrific weekend now! The Lisle French Market opens this Saturday, May 7, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and runs on Saturdays through October 29. Your favorite and new vendors will be there to greet you at beautiful PrairieWalk Pond in Downtown Lisle. (one block west of Main St on Garfield Avenue). Village of Lisle Business Registration Renewal Forms were mailed on April 27, 2016. In order to avoid a late fee, renewals must be received no later than June 15, 2016. Smart Meter

ComEd to Install Smart Meters in Lisle

A Smart Meter is a digital electric meter that sends electricity-usage information to ComEd. According to ComEd, residential customers with Smart Meters have access to online energy-management tools, high-usage alerts and weekly reports summarizing daily electricity usage to assist customers in managing their electric bills. ComEd anticipates that Smart Meters will be installed in all homes and businesses in this area by the end of 2018. Information on the upcoming Smart Meter installation will be included in customers’ ComEd bills 60-days prior to installation and then again a few days before the electric meter is replaced.
