Document Destruction Event 

Do you have piles of paper that need to disappear? Recycle them responsibly at the Lisle Document Destruction Event, Saturday, October 29 from 9 a.m. - Noon in the Commuter Parking Lot just west of Village Hall (925 Burlington Avenue). Bring up to two file size/copier paper boxes per vehicle. Paper clips/staples can remain in documents; binders and metal clips must be removed. Documents will be cross-cut shredded onsite and then recycled. For more information, click here.  

Pumpkin Composting Event

Pumpkins contain 90% water and are full of nutrients. Rather than take up space in landfills, composting pumpkins returns valuable water and nutrients to the soil. Bring your pumpkins to the Pumpkin Composing Event on Saturday, November 5 from 9 a.m. - Noon at 4930 Route 53 (next to Lisle Lanes). Please remove candles and other decorations prior to drop off. Trick-or-Treating in Downtown Lisle, Closing Day for French Market  

Saturday, October 29 is the last French Market day of the season and it's Trick-or-Treat Day from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday's French Market vendors include: The Bleu Olive selling olive oils, rubs and gourmet mustards; Fill My Jar with brittle, caramel, peppermint bark; Humane Haven with pet adoption services, pet treats and accessories; The Morton Arboretum sharing membership information; the Cookout On Wheels food truck. Music by Gary Koehler. Garfield Avenue, Downtown Lisle.

Then, head on over to Main Street where Trick or Treating in Downtown Lisle will take place on Saturday, October 29 from noon - 3 p.m.

"Coffee with the Mayor" 

Join Lisle Mayor Joe Broda for the next "Coffee with the Mayor" on Tuesday, November 1, from 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. at Lisle Village Hall (925 Burlington Avenue). Discuss topics of interest to you with the Mayor in a casual setting over a cup of coffee.
