Provide Feedback for Downtown Master Plan Via sMap

Lisle residents and businesses are invited to use sMap, an interactive mapping tool that can provide feedback for the Downtown Lisle Master Plan process. Create your customized map of issues affecting Downtown Lisle (i.e. community assets, priority development sites, public safety concerns and other similar items). This fun and interactive tool is easy to use and can be accessed by clicking here

Fall Leaves

2016 Leaf Pickup Program Complete 

Now that the 2016 Leaf Pickup Program has ended, residents should place any remaining leaves in yard-waste bags or cans and attach a yard-waste sticker to each container. Republic Services, the Village's waste hauler, will collect yard waste through Tuesday, December 13. For more information, click here.

Recycling Opportunities 

Are you decorating for the holidays this weekend? If you have unwanted, broken holiday lights and extension cords, recycle them responsibly by bringing them to Village Hall beginning Monday, November 21 from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. through Wednesday, February 1, 2017. Elgin Recycling will provide this recycling service to help you go green during the holiday season.

Thanks to all who participated in the recent Lisle Pumpkin Composting Event - 1.35 TONS of pumpkins were diverted from landfills and will be recycled.

Monthly Electronics Recycling Event  

Time to make room for holiday gifts (those you buy for others and those you may receive). Recycle unwanted electronics, TVs (for a small fee depending on size), small appliances and more at the Monthly Electronics Recycling Event. Saturday, November 19, from 8 a.m. - noon in Commuter Parking Lot B (west of Village Hall on Burlington Avenue). To review a list of items accepted, click here

Thanksgiving Click It or Ticket 

In 2013, seven people did not make it to Thanksgiving dinner as they lost their lives in accidents. Don't have empty seats at your table. Make sure your loved ones buckle up and drive sober. Lisle Police will be helping protect you by conducting a Thanksgiving Click It or Ticket Campaign during the weekend. Stay safe, enjoy the holiday. To learn more, click here

New Holiday Market at Lights of Lisle

The Lights of Lisle Festival, scheduled for December 3 and 4, is one of Lisle’s most beautiful events. On Saturday, December 3, Downtown Lisle will glow as more than 2,000 luminarias are lit at dusk, setting the stage for an activity-filled weekend.  This year, food trucks (Toasty Cheese and Golden Eagle Hot Dogs) will offer hearty meals that can be enjoyed inside a heated tent from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Saturday, December 3.  The tent will also include a new Holiday Market, with a dozen vendors offering holiday gifts, décor, fresh evergreen creations and more.  Remember to join Mayor Broda for the Tree Lighting Ceremony at Village Hall on Saturday, December 3 at 6 p.m. To view the complete Lights of Lisle activity schedule, click here.  To view a video of the Lights of Lisle Festival, click here.

Village Offices Closed for Thanksgiving Holiday

Village of Lisle offices will be closed Thursday, November 24 and Friday, November 25 in observance of the Thanksgiving Holiday. The Village's non-emergency departments will reopen on Monday, November 28, 2016. Garbage, yard waste and recycling will not be affected.
