Monitor the Levels of Local Waterways During Storms

Spring thunderstorms can result in rising water levels on our creeks, streams and rivers. Now you can monitor water levels on the East Branch of the DuPage River and St. Joseph Creek - and even set up alerts so you are warned as water rises. The Village of Lisle Flood Warning web page connects to real time river gages and provides normal water level readings and those from past floods to help you better determine if flooding is a possibility. While many different conditions affect flooding (amount of rain that falls, saturation level of ground, etc.), monitoring water levels during storms can help guide the decisions you make to protect family and property.
