Life Saving Award Recipients

Congratulations to Lisle Police Detective Jim Eccardt and resident Chuck Johnwick, who each received a Life Saving Award from the Village of Lisle to recognize their successful efforts at saving Lisle resident Jim Arnold’s life. Mr. Arnold experienced a cardiac event during the April 17 Village Board Meeting. Detective Eccardt and Mr Johnwick immediately assessed Mr. Arnold’s condition and began CPR.  Due to their heroic efforts, Mr. Arnold was breathing when emergency personnel from the Lisle Woodridge Fire District arrived. He was transported to the hospital and has since recovered. Lisle salutes the actions of Chuck Johnwick (l) and Detective Jim Eccardt (r). Here, they are thanked by Jim Arnold (c).

Moving Vehicles to Higher Ground During Floods

Whenever a Flood Watch is issued, the Village will issue a CodeRED message to subscribers and post the alert on its communication channels. During this time, vehicles may be relocated to residential streets on higher ground, including Downtown Lisle. If you choose to move your vehicle, please park only along the north and east sides of residential roads to allow room for emergency vehicles. Please display your phone number on the dashboard so that police may contact you if needed. To review a detailed map of parking options, click here.

To receive CodeRED Community and Weather Alerts as they happen 24/7, you will need to register for the free service. Once you access the registration page, choose to be notified of Community and Weather Alerts, then indicate how you would like to receive your alerts (via phone, text or email). Remember, if you do not register, you will not receive alerts.  Access the CodeRED registration page by clicking here.
