Memorial Day Reminders

Village of Lisle offices will be closed on Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day. The Village’s non-emergency departments will re-open on Tuesday, May 30, Garbage, yard waste and recycling will be completed on Wednesday, May 31. Honor Veterans on Memorial Day

Join us as the Village of Lisle observes Memorial Day with a Parade, Remembrance Ceremony and FREE! Community Picnic. The parade begins at Lisle Jr High (5211 Center), on Monday, May 29, 11 a.m.  All veterans are welcome to participate; attendees are invited to walk in the parade. The parade proceeds north on Main Street to the Veterans Memorial (4721 Center where a Remembrance Ceremony will take place.  A FREE! Community Picnic at the adjacent Museums of Lisle Station Park follows the Remembrance Ceremony.  To review the activity program, click here.

Memorial Day "Click It or Ticket"

In 2015, 57% of people who were not wearing seatbelts in vehicles being driven between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. died from injuries sustained in accidents. This Memorial Weekend, honor the deceased, don't become one of them. Drive sober and make sure all who drive with you buckle up. Lisle Police will be on watch helping to keep the roads safe too. For more information, click here.

Block Party 

Have fun at the first Cruise Night/Block Party of the 2017 Season. Saturday, May 27 from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. in Downtown Lisle. Enjoy music, food, raffles and more! Meet the Officers who serve and protect YOU! Join them for the next "Coffee with a Cop." Wednesday, May 31 at Brookdale Lisle (1700 Robin Lane) from 7 a.m. - 8 a.m. All are welcome to this event which strengthens relationships with the police and opens lines of communication. (Plus the coffee is great!) See you there!
