FREE! Special Branch Pickup Begins Monday, July 31

On Monday, July 31, the Village will begin a FREE! pickup for storm damaged branches. Please place branches that are eight inches in diameter or less on the parkway by 7 a.m. with cut ends facing the street. Public Works crews will make one pass through the entire Village to collect stacked branches.  Refer to the Branch Pickup Program for complete guidelines by clicking hereAn online map will show the crew's progress. Once all branch debris has been removed, a Village-wide street cleaning will take place. Residents who have downed trees or damaged branches larger than eight inches in diameter on private property need to contact a tree service for removal. 

Village Reaches Agreement with Police Union

Mayor Chris Pecak announced that the Village of Lisle has reached a contract agreement with the Lisle Police Union, which extends contracts through 2019 with a 2.5% annual salary increase. The Collective Bargaining Agreement ends a two-year stalemate and avoids entering into costly arbitration while providing the Lisle Police Department with the resources to recruit and retain high quality officers. The agreement was unanimously ratified by the thirty Lisle Police Officers represented by the union on July 17, 2017. FREE! Self-Defense Workshop for Women

College and high school age women can learn how to better protect themselves by attending the FREE! Self-Defense Workshop presented by One Light Self-Defense ( on Thursday, August 10 from 2 p.m. - 5 p.m. at the Lisle Police Department (5040 Lincoln Avenue). Flood Open House Invite

National Night Out

All are invited to Benedictine University's National Night Out, which brings together local police and the Lisle community to forge strong partnerships. Fun activities include: radar fast-pitch, face painting, games, touch-a-truck area with squad cars and fire trucks, free food/drinks, give-aways and more. Tuesday, August 1, from 5 p.m. -  8 p.m. in the

Band 1976

1976 Performs at the FREE! PrairieWalk Pond Concert

Join us for the first PrairieWalk Pond Concert of the season as band 1976 performs hits from the 70s.  Thursday, August 3, from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at PrairieWalk Pond, (Route 53 and Garfield Avenue), Downtown Lisle. 1976 plays music by Fleetwood Mac, Peter Frampton, Tom Petty, Pat Benatar, Heart and more. Food/Beer/Wine will be available for purchase. Bring a chair/blanket and your friends and family. FREE! parking is available in the Garfield Parking Lot and Downtown Lisle.

Latex Painting Recycling Program

The DuPage County Latex Paint Recycling Program is offering FREE! recycled latex paint in 5-gallon containers to the public. The paint has been filtered and re-blended into a variety of colors, types and finishes. Paint may be picked up at the Woodridge Greene Valley Wastewater Treatment Facility, 7900 S. Route 53 in Woodridge, through Saturday, July 29, from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. You may also bring latex paint to the facility so it can be recycled. For more info, click here
