2017 Branch Collection Program Completed

Public Works crews worked efficiently in excessive heat and the 2017 Fall Branch Collection Program has been completed. Place any remaining branches in a yard waste bag with a yard waste sticker attached. Republic Services will collect the items on Tuesdays through December 12, 2017.

Leaf Collection Program Begins October 16

The FREE! Leaf Collection Program is open to all single-family homes within Lisle corporate limits. The program will begin October 16 and run through the week of November 13. During this time, Public Works will make a pass through the Village, collecting leaves once a week. Follow program guidelines to ensure your leaves are collected. To review program guidelines, click here. Collection dates can't be altered as Public Works trucks need to get ready to plow snow in late November.

While leaves are organic in nature, they can cause damage to the environment. Leaves that are raked or fall into storm sewers, rivers and streams create harmful algae that is bad for water quality and wildlife. They also clog storm drains which may cause flooding. To keep our waterways clean, our wildlife healthy and help prevent flooding, rake up or compost leaves. To watch a brief video about keeping our local waterways healthy, click here.
