Village Board Approves Flat Property Tax Levy

During the December 18, 2017 Village Board Meeting, Lisle Trustees voted to approve a flat Village Property Tax Levy for 2017. That decision will keep the levy the same amount as the 2016 Tax Levy Extension, which totaled $4,924,959.  The Board also authorized an additional payment of $300,000 to the Police Pension Fund as a means to stabilize the future levy amounts needed to finance the fund.

According to Mayor Chris Pecak, “The Village Board understands that Lisle property owners are concerned about steadily rising taxes. The actions approved by the Village Board demonstrate that we take property owners’ concerns very seriously and are striving to contain taxes while strategically planning to meet the Village’s future financial obligations without reductions in Village services.”  To learn more, click here.
