Water and Sewer Rate Increase

Water and Sewer Maintenance Rates Increase Effective June 2018

Village of Lisle water customers will see a 10 cent increase to $6.60 per 1,000 gallons of water beginning with the June 2018 billing period. This change in rates is a direct result of increases to the Village’s cost to purchase water from the DuPage Water Commission. The sewer maintenance rate will rise to $3 per month, a 20 cent per month increase, for the June 2018 billing cycle. Commercial customers will see the impact of the new rates on their July bills, with residential customers seeing the impact on August bills. For the average household consuming 16,000 gallons of water every two months, the water and sewer increases would be a $2.00 increase on the bi-monthly bill. Both rates fund the Village’s operation and maintenance of the water and sewer systems, including capital improvements. For more information, please click here.

New Waste Hauler for Lisle: What You Need to Know

Lakeshore Recycling Systems will be the Village’s new refuse, recycling and yard waste hauler effective July 1, 2018. Curbside collection by Lakeshore will begin July 5th (due to July 4th holiday). Under the new contract, normal collection days for curbside pickup will change from Tuesdays to Wednesdays. Please note the new collection day and plan accordingly.

Residents are encouraged to purchase just enough refuse stickers to last until the end of June. Stickers from Republic, the current waste hauler, will be accepted during a two-week grace period offered for July 5th and July 11th pickups.

To prepare for the transition, residents interested in a subscription service are encouraged to participate in a survey from Lakeshore to help ensure there is a seamless transition. For questions or to arrange services, please call 630-581-8650 or email with questions. For more information, click here.
