Downtown Lisle Master Plan

Downtown Master Plan Public Hearing August 15, 2018  

The Village of Lisle Planning & Zoning Commission is hosting a public hearing on the Downtown Lisle Master Plan, a document that will ultimately provide guidance and direction for growth, investment and development in the downtown area over the next decade. The Public Hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Lisle Village Hall, 925 Burlington Avenue in Lisle. Those interested in learning more about the plan can view the draft plan here. Questions can be directed to Development Services Director Mike Smetana at 630-271-4100 or 

Secretary of State Mobile Unit
Secretary of State Mobile Unit Coming to Lisle August 16, 2018
The Secretary of State (SOS) Mobile Unit will be at Lisle Village Hall, 925 Burlington Avenue in Lisle, on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Village Board Room. SOS representatives will assist individuals with the following services:
  • Renewal and correction of driver’s licenses and state ID cards, and issuance of new state ID cards.
  • Vision tests only, no renewals that require a written test or road test will be processed.
  • Motor Voter and Organ Donor registration with renewal of driver’s licenses and state ID cards.
  • Purchase of vehicle registration renewal stickers for all vehicles (including B-truck plates).
For seniors ages 65 and up, there is no charge for state ID cards. Seniors age 75 and up are required to visit the Department of Motor vehicles to renew a driver’s license.
Proper identification is required at the time of service. Acceptable forms of payment include personal checks, cashier’s checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards, and debit cards. Cash will not be accepted. Lisle French Market

Lisle French Market on Saturdays

Fresh vegetables, pastries, cheeses, jewelry, clothing, artwork and much more are all featured at Lisle’s French Market, which will be held this Saturday, July 28, 2018 and on future Saturdays through September 29 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The French Market is held on Garfield Avenue, adjacent to the PrairieWalk Pond in Downtown Lisle. Friendly pets on a leash are welcome and admission is free.

Summer Read Wrap-Up Party

Summer Read Wrap-Up Party

The Summer Read Wrap-Up Party will be held at the Lisle Library District on Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., celebrating the end of summer and another successful reading season. This event will feature an inflatable obstacle course, an ice cream stand, live music, and crafts for all ages. Attendees can stay for the entire event, or as long as they would like. Friends, family and neighbors are all invited to join the fun. Summer Reading prizes for patrons who have successfully completed the program will also be available for pick up.
