Branch Collection Schedule Begins Next Week: Live Tracking Available

The Fall Branch Pickup Program begins the week of Monday, September 10, 2018 for Lisle residents who live south of Maple Avenue (South). The pickup schedule will continue the week of September 17 for residents living north of the Burlington Northern train tracks (North), and finally, for residents who live between the train tracks and Maple Avenue (Center) collection will occur the week of September 24. Please note: beginning this year, the collection schedule will rotate between the North, South and Center regions every season. This is a change from the previous practice of picking up regions in the same order each season.

Guidelines for branch collection: All bundled branches and tree materials need to be in the parkway by 7:00 am. on the Monday of the scheduled collection week.Tie bundles with natural twine or rope. Nylon, plastic or metal twines will not be accepted or collected. Bundles should not exceed 3 feet tall x 3 feet wide x 5 feet long or exceed 50 pounds. Place single logs up to 8 inches in diameter and 3 to 8 feet in length separately from bundle piles. Downtown Lisle Master Plan

Downtown Lisle Master Plan Public Hearing is September 19, 2018

A public hearing for the Downtown Lisle Master Plan will be held by the Village of Lisle Planning and Zoning Commission on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Lisle Village Hall, 925 Burlington Avenue in Lisle.

The goal of the plan is to be a comprehensive, guiding document that directs investment, development and subsequent growth in the area in and around Lisle’s downtown. Click here to learn more and to view the Draft Master Plan. Event Coming Up

The Village of Lisle and DuPage County continue to partner to assist residents by collecting unwanted electronics to be recycled. A free electronics recycling event will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. until noon in the Downtown Lisle Commuter Parking Lot B located just west of the Village Hall, 925 Burlington Avenue. These recycling events are normally held on the third Saturday of each month. Please note: electronics recycling will not occur if the Saturday falls on a holiday weekend. Lisle Depot Days

Depot Days at the Museum at Station Park September 15-16, 2018

Attend the annual Lisle Depot Days, presented by the Lisle Park District, on Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16, 2018 from noon until 5:00 p.m. at the Museum at Station Park, 921 School Street in Lisle. 

Attendees can learn about life over a century ago by touring the Depot Museum, Beau Bien Tavern, Netzley/Yender House, a working blacksmith shop and the Lisle Cemetery -  the final resting place for some of the Village's earliest settlers. Other activities and attractions will include a hayride, a craft fair, a historical fall garden, along with fresh baked apple pies and warm cornbread. There will also be demonstrations of basket weaving, lace making, bee keeping, and more! Model railroad trains will also be on display. Please click this link for more information.

Car Show

Downtown Lisle Car Show 
Next Weekend

The Downtown Lisle Car Show will be held on Main Street from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. this coming Saturday, September 15, 2018 and feature imported cars, music, food, drinks, raffles and more! Main Street will be closed for the duration of the car show, which is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club and the Lisle Heritage Society. This car show is the second to last of the season, with the final show to be held on Saturday, October 13.

LisIe Welcomes Marq on Main

The Village of Lisle would like to welcome some of our newest residents at Marq on Main – and new neighbors continue to be welcome! 

Construction on this project continues to move toward completion; a number of these units are open for viewing. As part of this overall new and exciting development in the downtown area, new street lights have also been installed, as well as new sidewalks and pavers around the east building.
