Leaf Collection

Leaf Collection Program Starts Monday, October 29, 2018

The Village's Leaf Collection Program will begin Monday, October 29 and  continue through the week of November 26, 2018. The timing of this program is later in the season compared to previous years, in response to resident feedback and to account for a later leaf drop. Leaves need to be raked to the parkway as close to the curb as possible by 7:00 a.m. each Monday morning during the four-week program. Cars should not be parked in front of leaves, and grass clippings or other landscape waste will not be collected as part of the program. Public Works crews will collect the leaves once per week, weather permitting. Please note: inclement weather conditions may result in the program ending prior to the week of November 26. Click this link for important  information on how to participate in the program. Any remaining leaves after the program is over must be placed in yard waste bags or carts for collection by Lakeshore Recycling Systems (LRS). The waste hauler will continue to collect yard waste through December 12. For questions regarding the Leaf Collection Program, please call Public Works at 630-271-4180.

A document destruction event will be held by the Village of Lisle, in partnership with DuPage County, on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until noon in Commuter Parking Lot C, located south of Village Hall. Participants are required to bring documents in paper shopping bags or cardboard boxes (plastic bags are not permitted). The limit of paper per vehicle is three paper shopping bags or two copier sized boxes. Paperclips and staples can be left in the documents, but binders and metal clips should be removed. Staff at the event will remove documents from vehicles, which will be transported into a mobile shredding truck, be cross-cut shredded on-site, and then recycled.
