Winter Storm
Preparation and Operations

Preparation for the forecasted snowfall is now in full swing. Public Works crews will be completing a brine application on the roads today, with trucks getting prepped for snow forecasted to begin this afternoon. The Village’s fleet of trucks will be out plowing and salting during the storm, working 12 hour shifts during its duration and beginning cleanup operations as the storm concludes. Learn more about the Village’s program here.

State of the Village Address
is Monday, January 21, 2019

Mayor Pecak will present his 2019 State of the Village Address this Monday, January 21, in the Lisle Village Hall Board Room, at 925 Burlington Avenue. The Address, which will take place after the Regular and Committee of the Whole meetings conclude (which begin at 7:00 p.m.), will include highlights of the many great events and accomplishments that occurred within Lisle throughout 2018. The Mayor will also share his outlook for the year to come. Please join your friends and neighbors for this insightful look into the past, present and future efforts that are shaping the Lisle community!

Village Seeks Candidates for
Open Clerk Position

The Village extends its gratitude to Village Clerk Brondyke for her service. Ms. Brondyke resigned recently to pursue another career opportunity. The Village of Lisle is currently seeking residents interested in filling this vacancy as Village Clerk. The Village Clerk is the official keeper of the corporate seal and responsible for the official records belonging to the Village. Duties of the position include attending all meetings of the corporate authorities, calling the roll, signing Village documents, keeping minutes of meetings, and administering Oaths of Office for Village officials. As the local election authority, the clerk has various duties in the municipal election process. The Clerk does not vote during board meetings and is not a policy-making member of the Village Board. Electronics Recycling

E-Recycling Canceled on Saturday, January 19, 2019 Due to Weather  

Due to heavy snow predicted for this weekend, the Saturday, January 19, 2019 electronics recycling event has been canceled. The next monthly e-recycling event will be held on Saturday, February 16 from 8:00 a.m. until noon at Village Hall, in the downtown Lisle Commuter Parking Lot B, located at 925 Burlington Avenue in Lisle.
